I am defeated,
I surrender, utterly torn asunder,
I am broken, battered and destroyed,
You’ve won, savor your victory
I am a casualty of the conditions of your love,
Listless am I, gone beyond even the hopeless lethargy.
I lay down my arms,
My prone body lying prostrate,
Open to the ravages of your affection.
To the affliction of your care
And yet I do not hate you.
Charred black as I may be by the warmth of your icy indulgence
Hate you? No
I’m too enraptured in despising me.
I claim no victory, where obvious is your own.
The paradox of your logic soo murkily clears,
How could I hate you?
With your brandished shining armor,
Your righteous indignation
Tarnished only by the sparkle less jewels of your relative truths,
I have no weapon that can stand against your irrefutable illusion,
I stand defeated, broken and destroyed.
Desolated and hopeless
In the wake of your terrible inverted glory
