I could spend forever in that circle,
Honored and cherished
Like crown jewels
Stroked gently and with admiration
Nimble fingers reading the braille of my skin
A story of acceptance and a yearning to become resident there
I could spend forever the subject of that gaze
A king surveying his bounty
Taking stock of his holdings
Hungry eyes mirroring a fantasy
Played out in tones of golden brown fire
Dancing on the windowsill of the soul
I could listen forever to the timber of that voice
The renditions of ideas and visions
Given life in the colors of the literary
Rhetoric spiced liberally with skill
A verbal Picasso painting an audible masterpiece
A serenade to the spirit
Undertaken by the heart
Answered by the flesh
I could breathe forever the essence of the joining
The perfume of physicality
The evidence of divine exertion
Ambrosia to the senses
The epitome of feeling
Blinding all other senses
The wanton abandon of nerve endings overwhelmed
With completeness a physical hymn
Measured in contorted limbs
And strained muscles
I could reside forever in this moment
Content in memory of my senses.
