Little me

Big and tall,

Tall and big,

This giant wall of insurmountable.

Huge and daunting,

It’s big, big, big!

A big, big wall made a little little things,

Little thinks, like doubt and fear.

Tiny things like that set of chores over there.

One big old chasm of undefeatable,

Waiting to swallow me whole.

Lock stock and barrel,

To wrap me in failure and make a snack of me.

One big, big tree made of all the things that little voice says.

That little voice inside your head,

The one that sings in your ears of all the things that are too big for you,

Too big to try and too big to gain,

Big, big, big like a mighty hurricane

Me, poor little me

With my little axe

Made of wit and cunning

Polished with determination and stubborn

It’s chipped and nicked

From all the other unconquerable trees it’s had to chop down

Yes, me

Poor little me

With my little little axe

Come to knock down this big big wall of insurmountable.
